Grass utilisation is one of the most important factors influencing the productivity & profitability of any grass based system.
Good management decisions at this time of year will ensure you do not lose the quality of your grass and will maintain high grass intakes by the animal.
Simple Steps
- Graze sward down to 3.5-4.0cm. High covers and low stock rates can lead to a drop in grass quality. Nitro Sweet contains sodium which improves the palatability of the sward and increases DM intake.
- Feed your grass to maintain quality. Nitrogen and Sulphur are critical to grow quality grass. Spreading 20 units of Sulphur between now and August will give 10-50% more grass.
NitroSweet from NitroFert is a high nitrogen granular fertiliser that contains all the essential nutrients required for grazing paddocks this summer.
Nutrient Composition: Nitrogen 23% + Sulphur 2% + Sodium 5% + Magnesium 1.2%
Application Guideline: 75-100kg/acre after each grazing
